Megaminx

Welcome to the Megaminx section of this site. Here you will learn how to solve the Megaminx with decent speed. May i advise that you should learn how to solve the Rubik's cube before attempting this as my video tutorial is intended for intermediate cubers. There are two parts to this tutorial, the first being the whole cube, with the exception of the Last Layer (Which is essentially like solving F2L on a 3x3 a bunch of times). And the second part is the Last Layer. So enjoy the videos and i hope you learn many things!

Step 1: Star and F3L

This step consists of solving a "star" similar to the 3x3's "cross". Then you are performing what is known as F3L which is an extended version of F2L. Enjoy!

Step 2: The Last Layer

Here you are finishing the Last Layer of the Megaminx by using algorithms from the 3x3 such as the T-Perm and Y-Perm, and also a variation of the J-Perm. Enjoy!

After Notes:

For algorithms and advanced techniques for the Megaminx, i would suggest vistiting Erik Akkersdijk's site: http://erikku.er.funpic.org/rubik/ Erik is the current WR holder for both single and average times.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to email me.
